Indoor Ocean is a research about constructing artificial nature in an old factory located in Newburgh. It is motivated by a local business named Eco Shrimp Garden. To create an indoor ocean in a vacant factory, various machines and technologies were used to maintain ocean species. Relating the life-cycle of shrimps, different tubes were placed. Rather than displacing water and waste from shrimps, RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) is installed. This system allows water to circulate instead of disposing wastewater into sewers and rivers. Biofloc was used to help not only prevent disease but also decrease ammonia in water.
